Understanding the masculine and the feminine energy

All men and women have both, #feminine and #masculine qualities and will experience and live out these qualities in a variety of ways.

There is a misconception and misunderstanding about these concepts. A lot of people tend to refer to feminine as meaning woman and masculine as meaning men. However, this is not correct.

When these concepts are been used, feminine is referring to feminine energy or feminine essence and masculine is referring to masculine energy, masculine essence. There is a lot of stereotyping that tends to portray these concepts with gender. There is no gender attached to either of these concepts.

However, it is important to understand that for most men, embodying masculine qualities is their native disposition.

And, the same goes for most women. That is, embodying feminine qualities is their native disposition.

This means the qualities that are more innate in accordance with our gender, rather than conditioning.

Whilst men and women will have a stronger alignment to either masculine or feminine - it’s essential for everyone to access and embody BOTH energies throughout their relationships and daily life.

Take a look at the list below and see which of the following you identify with.

Feminine

The feminine is feeling and flowing with what is….

Words that encompass feminine qualities are:

>> Flowing

>> Feeling

>> Creative

>> Nurturing

>> Loving

>> Cyclic

>> Heart

>> Colour

>> Sound

>> Movement

There is of course a flip side to both feminine and masculine energies.

Some of the shadow qualities of the feminine:

>> Chaotic

>> Angry

>> Manipulative

>> Needy

In some eastern religions like Hinduism or new age spirituality, the feminine is often thought of as:

Understanding these concepts can empower us to find better balance, improve our mental health and wellbeing and empower us to be more aware of the subtle not so obvious behaviours and energies that might be playing a role in the way our life is playing out.

With Love
